the mechanics on this trick are pretty insane. the slider involves pedaling backwards. watch the foot that stays on the pedal- it pretty much doesnt move from the lowest crank position. that's why he puts all his weight on that pedal and takes his foot off the other pedal to gain momentum. stuff like this makes me appreciate the fixed gear's nature.
