the green wave of valencia street

for some of us, riding a bike means not driving a car. this poses a problem when it comes to lights; most of the time, one would have to mash hard to 25 mile per hour just to hit a bunch of green lights. seems easy for a cyclist who might not carry alot of stuff, but for the commuter that's hard to do. on valencia street in san francisco, the city decided to take the 25 mph wave down to 13 mph. that way, it wont suck to wait at a stoplight and you wont be winded at the end of the line. that, and you wont have the scenario where you get caught up by a red light by going a little to slow. oh, and mission bicycle co. is in this as well (which so happens to be on valencia st.)
