old school vs new school, artistic cycling vs tarcking: revamping the classic track bicycle

lately there has been alot of things floating around where there's a contrast and comparison between old school artistic cycling & bikes in general and new school fixed freestyle. first off, i recall showing a friend a video of ines brunn at BFF, and he told me something that baffled me: since she runs a 1-1 ratio, could she do all these things on a full fledged fixed freestly setup. he thought she couldnt, but i thought she could, finally, we have an answer.

this sparks a discussion. Superted and circus performer Paddy Waters got together and tore it up with setups that couldnt be any more different than eachother. When Superted met Paddy by Different Spokes.
This is Paddy.

and we all know the all around universal man of mystery Superted, right?
well this is how Paddy rolls:

confused yet?

it's funny, fixed gear's are becoming more any more synonymous with a certain look. i dont have a problem with it, but i feel like my style of fixed gear is dissipating into the background as time progresses. iMiNUSD got bored and set up a leader 722TS 2 ways:

"Which look are you? Classy/traditional track bike or modern deep/riser track bike. Which do you prefer?

2009

722TS

1970

Leader 722TS"

2009, the death of the bullhorn? most likely. what am i trying to get at? absolutely no idea.
