i had the weekend off and i had every intention to go down to monterey for the sea otter classic at laguna seca. but this came up and i made the executive decision (pretty much the night before) to ditch burning up and being caked in dirt in monterey, in order to head to 3rd and army in san francisco where it was overcast and ocean salty. i made the right decision. there were so meany heads out there that i havent seen in years and there was so much shit going on. now this is basically only the tip of the iceberg- i have a shit ton of photos i have to sift through tonight. anyway, shout out to mike and matt for making this happen and dudes like ramon and jball for putting up some prizes.

i'm fucking stoked how this came out by the way. holy hell....

whipped up: AFC UPROAR COMP 2013 IN OAKLAND

the other day i got a buzz from phil at sf bike expo who let me know that the ALL FIXED COMP is happening this weekend at defremery park in oakland THIS WEEKEND. i've been the media sponsor for this event since it's inception (well the first one was kind of unoffical, but fuck it, i'll count it) and i've always been super hyped up on it. we're having the contest at town park during the 5th annual "life is living" celebration. for those of you who arent familiar with the park, here's a cool background on it. please go. this event means a ton to me personally so hit up the facebook page here!

this was supposed to come out a lot earlier but due to some technical difficulties i had to redo it. twice. i decided to take my go pro to interbike and have random clips of whatever i was around. but then chrome kept giving out beer so i ended up with a bunch of crappy stuff. ibike was fun- ate wings every day, drank beer every day, but now i have it all out of my system and this edit was a nightmare to get out.

BHSK goes places: iminusd 4 year anniversary

this past weekend i crawled out of bed, swooped my camera and heded out to cannery park to celebrate the 4th anniversary of iminusd and 5th anniversary of local clothing brand, breezy excusion. these two brands are omnipresent in san jose, and both support FGFS and the local community greatly. here's what came from my lens.  get more after the jump

this is JD. it almost seems like this guy is perpetually injured in some sort of way so when you see that he doesn't have that somewhat iconic wrist brace of his on, you know that shit will go down. get more the jonathan after the jump.

elliot milner is electric when it comes to the technical riding style. then he's doing those bmx based tricks, he's got that slow slung and snappy riding style. here and there, however he has moments that contrast that style. get more words and pics after the jump.

so for the second year in a row, joe mckeag wins the most photos taken through my lens award. the guy packs so many tricks into runs that it becomes like rapidfire clicking away on my cheap ass DSLR. get more of the most photogenic after the jump.

the destroy team was in full effect at the event. jeffy d runs the unicorn killer, and both corey and daniel are two of the very few who run a custom 29er. they may have different bikes but they're  riding styles are actually really similar. get more after the jump!

tyler and jacob hail from the state of washington. i think people kind of forget that both of these guys are pretty OG when it comes to FGFS- i remember when tyler was running an aluminum frame with a 650 up front all while everyone else had moved wayyyy beyond that. see more from these dudes after the jump.
