wheeled migration is a great organization that promotes safe and fun long distance riding. i met 2 of the dudes from the group and they're really friendly bike heads. that being said, i'm happy to post up whatever event they have going- this time around we have the slow coast bicycle tour that spans october 7-10. they're going to bike mechanics on hand, guides, and a luggage van (if you dont have proper touring equipment). the tour stops at a bunch of cool farms (yeah, farms could be cool. like the pie ranch), and is great if youre just starting out on the touring bike thing. music, food, bikes, and full support- sounds like fun to me! and check out wheeled migration too!
