i am a fan of the chub hub (though i'm way too broke to afford one), but not alot of people know the technology that goes into it. basically the super high flange allows for alot of the rotation while pedaling to be done within them resulting in a 70% reduction of stress in the spokes. acceleration increases as a result. oh yeah, and theyre RIDICULOUSLY light for their size, trust! i held one before thinking it would be a clunker of a hub, but i was pleasantly surprised. if you havent seen one in person before, you should. one day my urban fixed machine will see one of these hubs...
